Getting Ready

There are a few simple things that groups and organisations can do to prepare for the PVG Scheme commencing. The first phase commenced on 28 February 2011. It will take about four years to phase all of the vulnerable groups workforce onto the scheme so there will be plenty time to get to know how it will operate.

In the meantime, as well as keeping up to date with progress, activities and events by visiting the websites in find out more, you can ensure that appropriate safe recruitment, child and/or adult protection policies and procedures are in place. While this will be standard for large organisations, it may not be for some small groups and organisations.
